Clear and practical support for the experts

Three days of filming produced more than 40 training videos for a national charity that looks to add life to years with practical advice.

The brief 

The DLF is the UK’s leading national charity helping older and disabled people live independently at home with equipment. The organisation provides information and training for health care professionals, ensuring that the best person-centered care is delivered. The DLF also supplies the wider public. Helping people make better informed assistive technology choices.

For this project, the DLF required a range of products and aids to be filmed in operation so the final films could be used during face-to-face training sessions or as an online resource.

The impact

Filming lasted three days and took place at a DLF training facility, with more than 40 items filmed.

The footage then had graphics and animated content added during editing. With titles and call to action referencing the organisation’s brand guidelines also added.

“We had a very short time with a venue and staff and many complications owing to Covid-19 restrictions but needed to record as much content as possible. Thankfully Al knew exactly what to do and guided us through the three days to get the most out of the time. When seeing the finished product I was amazed at how Al had captured exactly what we needed with limited time, hardly any guidance from us, and completed first time without the need for edits. Green screen filming and editing delivered a series of online coaching films for an innovative career development organisation.

The brief 

Be Bold in Your Career from The Career Innovation Company provides guided online career development coaching for organisations. Inspiring participants through video, webinars and a range of online tools. 

Filming for the series of scripts and consultant interviews involved a temporary green screen set up and a teleprompter to ensure the career consultants’ smooth delivery.

The impact

Changeable light at the location presented challenges, as did the maintenance of a Covid safe environment for the participants throughout the shoot. Additionally, the venue maintained a strict schedule ensuring the shoot needed completing and space vacated promptly by close of play. 

Planning and liaison with key members of The Career Innovation Company team ensured the shoot ran smoothly and allowed for more efficient editing and delivery of the final videos.

A complete CMS bespoke build and online marketing for a world leader in strain gauge measurement devices.

The brief 

Mantracourt designs and builds complex measurement devices for various business sectors such as aerospace, automotive and civil engineering.

They required an online presence that reflected their prime market position, including wide exposure on the search engines; a comprehensive, bespoke CMS; ecommerce facilities; and an online Partner platform scheme.

The solution

A comprehensive search engine optimisation plan was put in place. This included copywriting, scheduled publishing of articles, onsite and offsite SEO practices. Together with achieving results on the organic listings, online marketing – including Google Ads and Bing Ads – was implemented to ensure Mantracourt showed for highly relevant search terms across niche markets.

Mantracourt have highly specialist documentation, software and content that needed to be kept up to date. No off-the-shelf CMS could match the requirements, so we built a bespoke CMS which allows Mantracourt to update all aspects of their website and backend materials.

In addition, a Partner Platform was built which allows companies interested in selling Mantracourt’s OEM products to register. Deep integration with the Google Maps API means users can find distributors of Mantracourt’s products, which is all controlled from the CMS. https://www.mantracourt.com/

The impact

A solid online presence with many spin-off websites supporting the main website. Great exposure on the search engines – worldwide – generating traffic and business. The main website – and satellite websites – are the go-to resource hub for Mantracourt’s clients. A longstanding, very happy, client with many exciting online tools in the pipeline.

The organisation wanted a new brand and messaging to underpin it, to reach more people and create an impactful impression.

The impact

We Are Comma ran a full day workshops to draw out the organisation’s purpose, vision, mission and values. In addition, branding workshops developed ideas for the look and feel of the organisation’s brand. Running these workshops together ensured that the messaging and branding work hand in hand. The branding and messaging have now been rolled out and given the organisation a professional image.
